At 4:50pm on January 27, 2009, Paula said…: I just got off the phone from talking with my sister Justy. I sometimes feel guilty for being so far away while she is struggling with chemo. I think " If I was closer I could take Espi to her religious classes, to school, out for the day, or to my house. If I was closer I could take Justy to her chemo appointments, be there with her at home afterwards, cook meals, keep house, entertain her, or just be handy." I feel guilty sometimes to complain about coming down with a cold or a headache when she difficulty walking from the pain from cancer that has spread to her bones. And then, like today, I realize that I did one of the best things that I could do for my sister - I listened to her, really, truly, listened to her. And made her laugh. And that in spite of the distance between us - I could do something important. Justy - I love you and in spite of the distance you really listen to me and you make me laugh (a lot).

I think that you're going to be able to share some great insight being the sister of someone with breast cancer. Definately introduce yourself to Priscilla. She started this organization to help her own sister through her struggle with breast cancer. Everyone else here is really great. I love you and thanks for supporting me in being a member of this site.
